Overview

Callwell is designed with privacy in mind. We process audio locally on your device and only store the data you need to improve your sales calls. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you control it.

What we collect

Account information: Email, name, and password hash when you create an account.

Call transcripts: Text transcriptions of your calls, processed from audio captured by the desktop app.

Call summaries: AI-generated summaries, action items, and analysis of your calls.

Usage data: Talk ratios, goal completion rates, and feature usage to improve the product.

Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We don't store credit card numbers.

What we don't collect

Audio recordings: Raw audio is processed locally and is not uploaded to our servers.

Video: We don't access or record video from your calls.

Screen content: We only capture audio, not screen recordings.

How audio processing works

The Callwell desktop app captures audio from your system and microphone. This audio is processed locally on your device to generate transcripts. Only the text transcripts are sent to our servers for storage and AI analysis. The raw audio never leaves your machine.

Data retention

You control how long we retain your call data. In your account settings, you can choose:

  • 30 days — Minimal retention
  • 90 days — Standard
  • 365 days — Extended history

You can also delete all your data at any time from the dashboard settings.

Third-party services

Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management.

Cloudflare: Infrastructure, hosting, and security.

AI providers: We use AI services to generate summaries and analysis. Transcripts are processed according to our data processing agreements.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and export your data
  • Delete your data and account
  • Update your retention preferences
  • Opt out of product analytics
